Norma M. Kovach, 87, of Shadyside, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Beacon House Senior Living in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
She was born October 23, 1935 in Bellaire, Ohio a daughter of the late Norman and Lillian (Smith) Greenwood.
Norma was a retired Bookkeeper for WesBanco and a Catholic by faith. She was a devoted wife and mother, but most of all she loved her grandbabies. Norma loved the holidays and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed shopping, dinner, and vacationing with friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Greenwood.
Norma is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, John Kovach of Shadyside, Ohio; children, Lynn Jendrzejak of Columbus Ohio, Marianne (Jim) Pickard of Tampa, Florida, and John (Julie) Kovach of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother, Norman (Sandy) Greenwood of Bellaire, Ohio; as well as eight grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, April 27 at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home 3900 Central Avenue, Shadyside, Ohio 43947 from 12:00pm until time of funeral service at 2:00pm with Father Daniel Heusel as celebrant.
Mr. Kovach, Johnny, Marianne & Lynn- My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Your wife & Mother was an amazing lady. She always welcomed me with open arms when I would come up from Florida to see Johnny. Not only would she make a bed for me to sleep on, but she would never fail to fix a spectacular dinner for Johnny & I no matter what time we came home. She will be missed by all but never forgotten.
