Patricia “Lena” Zatezalo ,94, passed on Sunday, January 31, 2021, due to complications of COVID-19, at Emerald Pointe Health & Rehabilitation Center in Barnesville, OH.
She was born March 25, 1926 in Bellaire, OH the daughter of the late Maria Morelli DeBlasis and Nicola DeBlasis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Rudy J. Zatezalo, 5 Brothers: Ray DeBlass, John, Arthur, Elmer, and Alfred DeBlasis, a Sister: Angela Decker, and a Granddaughter: Dawn Paul Rector.
Surviving are her Son: Robert A. (Denise) Zatezalo of St. Clairsville, OH, Daughter: Jacqueline (Mark) Paul of St. Clairsville, OH, Grandsons: Zachary (Nicole Cattran) Alexander, Robert L. Zatezalo and Michael (Bethany) Paul, Granddaughters: Maria (Jay) Swallie and Danielle Hostetler, Great-granddaughters: Emajean Swallie, Delaney Paul and Alexis Swallie along with many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Catholic Church, 415 37th Street, Bellaire, OH 43906.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic all services will be private. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, OH.
The family of Lena Zatezalo would like to thank everyone at Emerald Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center in Barnesville, OH for the exceptional care, love and kindness they have shown our mother and our family. We would also like to thank Mom’s very special person Tiffany Palmer Abbott for taking such great care of her.

Jackie , Bobby and families I am so sorry that Mom has gone from us here but I know that She is in a better place and happy. I still miss her each evening and I loved her deeeply. Thank You for sharing her with me.

She was a lady in every way with a beautiful smile and saw the best in all of us. Everyone loved Aunt Lena.

We shared such great memories with your Mother and Father. Truly wonderful Souls, although you and your families are sad and we pray for all of you, I am sure that Lena’s legacy lives within you and her warmth and kindness will pass down to all of the children and grandchildren.
