Richard F. Upperman, 89 of Bellaire, Ohio died Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Valley Hospice South’s Liza’s Place in Wheeling, West Virginia.
He was born October 28, 1931 in Bellaire, Ohio son of the late Henry C. and Edna Mae Grimm Upperman.
Richard was a retired employee of the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation Martins Ferry Mill, member of the South Bellaire United Methodist Church, Ohio Valley Street Survivors, Good Guys Car Club and a US Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Niedert. Surviving is his children, Linda (Jim) Lish of Bellaire, Ohio and Richard W. (Elaine) Upperman of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Also four grandchildren, Becky Glass, Michelle (Jeremy) Bauserman, Ryan Lish and Wesley Upperman and four great grandchildren, Austin Bishop, Dalton Bauserman, Caleb Bauserman and Lauren Glass.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Wednesday from 3 pm until time of services at 6 pm with Pastor Jim Lish officiating.

Fellows car club member only knew Rick for a few years always enjoyed hearing his stories of his time in Korea they don’t make them like him anymore see you in the great cruise in the sky for ever young
