Just got late word.

Played against Bobby while growing up in St. Clairsville. The friendliest athlete in Bellaire. Still recall how his unique voice sounded.

Can remember a Little League All-Star game there one time. (It was the first time we could lead off base and steal.) DeLelles hit one over the fence. Couldn’t believe it.

Was the first real homer I ever saw in an organized game I played in. Was playing short that day and couldn’t help but stick my hand out as he rounded, and he slapped me a low-5. Must have been about ’77 or ’78.

Then in later years during the high school days, would chat with him a lot at first base.

It was always Quintin and Donnie and Dirk and Bobby. Great rivals. Great ballplayers. Great guys.

Nice hit, Bobby.

I was so sorry to hear of Tiger’s passing. I have such fond memories of playing with him as little kids and as friends in high school. He was an amazing athlete and friend.
