Roberta L. “Berdie” Green, 71 of Columbus, Ohio formerly of Bellaire, Ohio died Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, Ohio surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 18, 1946 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a daughter of the late Robert L. Johnson, Sr. and Helen M. Gordon Johnson.
Roberta was a retired employee of the Ye Olde Alpha and Eat N Park, a member of the First Baptist Church in Bellaire, Ohio.
She enjoyed bowling at the Park Legion Lanes for nearly 20 yrs, an avid baseball fan, spending time with “The Kids” and cooking for family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, infant Sharon and Judith Fair and brothers, Robert L. Johnson, Jr. and Louis Johnson.
Surviving are her husband, Jeremiah Green, whom she married on December 19, 1966, three children, Marcy E. (Richard) Hogan of Columbus, Ohio, Phillip T. (Shannon) Green and Tiffany D. Green both of Bellaire, Ohio, seven siblings, Howard Johnson of Steubenville, Ohio, Carole Vincent of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Mary Ann Jeter of Bellaire, Ohio, Gary (Donna) Johnson of Martins Ferry, Ohio, Rodney (Beth) Johnson of Allen, Texas, Artis(Orencia) Johnson of Columbia, South Carolina and Audrey (Daniel) Rice of Cincinnati, Ohio. Also five grandchildren, Kipp L. Green, Myleah Green, Myliek Green, Myknzi Green, T’Asia Green, three great grandchildren, Kamia Green, Kameron Green and Maleah Peterson all of Bellaire, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm and Wednesday from 12 Noon until time of services at 1 pm with Bishop Michael Tolliver officiating.
Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio.

Mr. Green, Marcy, Phillip, Tiffany, and Audrey, please accept my sincere condolences. Your mother & sister was a wonderful woman and she will certainly be missed by you and all who loved her. I often think about how accepting and nice she was to Bryan, John and me. May God rest her soul, and give you comfort in knowing she is now at peace. God bless you and the entire Green family.
