Roger P. Conroy 66 of Jacobsburg, Ohio passed away on Tuesday June 18, 2019 at the UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on May 15, 1953 son of the late James “Jim” and Ellen Paul Conroy and shared the same birthday as his mother.

Roger served as the Belmont County Auditor since 2017, he had served as Deputy and Co-Chief Deputy Auditor for seventeen years. He had previously served with the Ohio State Auditor’s office for twenty-three years as a state examiner and field audit supervisor.

He was an active member of the Rock Hill Presbyterian Church and he was an avid master gardener and bird watcher. Roger enjoyed spending summers on his boat with his family and being the best husband, dad, uncle and pappy of all times.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Nanney, infant brother, James Michael Conroy, grandson, Hunter Blake and great niece, Harlei Parker.

Roger is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Diane L. Shook Conroy, their six children, Tonya Shook of Canonsburg, PA, John (Mendi) Dubil of Blaine, Ohio, Julie (Mark) Joseph of Wheeling, WV, Nichole Bodnar of McKees Rocks, PA, Emily Conroy of Jacobsburg, Ohio and Ryan (Ashlee) Conroy of Bellaire, Ohio and his father-in-law, Carl Dalto of Bridgeport, Ohio. Also eight grandchildren, Walker, Logan and Sage Dubil, Payton and Paxton Marling, Eleighsa and Elaina Bodnar and Jamason Gates, nieces, Shannan Nelson of Shadyside, Ohio, Angelique (Rickie) Parker of Bellaire, Ohio and great nieces, Lexie Parker and Ellie Kate Nelson, Jessa (Caleb) Lepic of Rayland, Ohio and their son, Braylon.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Friday from 12 Noon until time of services at 6 pm with Reverend David Demarest officiating. Followed by a Celebration of Roger’s life at the Rock Hill Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 11 am.

Dear Diane and Family, We were sad to learn of Roger’s passing. Our families spent many happy times together during holidays and summers. Roger and Kathy were our closest cousins. Dear Diane and family,
I just found out today that Roger passed. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I remember growing up with Roger and Kathy. The cousins had so much fun. We always got together at Grandma Bessie’s house. The videos brought back so many memories. He will be missed by so many.

I am srory to hear of Rogers passing. We had hoped to connect with him the last few years but it never worked out and now it is too late. I remember him as my first cousin and always a happy kid. I am so sorry for your loss and wish we could have gotten re connected after so many years
