Roger was a great guy. We met a few years ago through work and we always reminisced about the Valley. Sad to hear of his passing, God Bless
Sorry just saw this that Roger passed away. He was a good neighbor on Patterson Hill and a good friend to my brother in law David Obranovich. RIP Roger, you and David are up there together now.
Roger was my cousin. I grew up with frequent visits to uncle Bill and aunt Trevas house. We played together as kids and I attended his first wedding where he sang the most beautiful song to his bride-I think he played piano too. Been a long time but still remember how beautiful the wedding was and how happy he was then. I moved away and never saw Roger again. I knew things were tough for him at times ,but I thank all of you for telling me about his life after we parted. He sounds like a remarkable man, teacher, coach, husband and grandfather. I never got to meet his kids but their pictures are still sitting on the nightstands at my moms house. Thank you all for being a good friend to Roger. I know he and aunt Treva are together now-I know how much she loved him.
I had the pleasure of working with Roger as a shuttle driver in Columbus, Ohio at Dan Tobin, Buick, Chevrolet, GMC. Many times we would work the 7A.M. shift together and he was always so nice to sit with for a short time and talk to waiting for the first run or between runs. I did not work with Roger long enough to know a lot of his past history like a lot of you folks. (MY LOSS) I did what I could to help him, bringing in his car, warming it up, or taking him to his truck at the end of his shift at noon, so he did not have to walk. I just wish I could have done more. I did make it to the hospital to see him on Saturday, and met his wife, daughter, and two of his sons. I got to say goodby and told him GOD is in charge and I would miss him. Linda and I extend our condolences to his entire family.
Marilyn and Family,
Thinking of you at this difficult time. So sorry for your loss.
So sorry to hear of Roger’s passing. “Rogo” was a fraternity brother at Capital. One of the funniest and best guys you could ever call a friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. We’ll all miss that infectious smile and laugh. RIP Rogo.
So saddened to hear of the passing of Roger. He had such a calm and gentle soul and was such a pleasure to have around at the Roosters in Hilliard. Roger often spoke of his newly grand baby and how she was such a joy to the family. His smile will be forever missed around town and surly never forgotten. Thank you , Roger for all of the laughter and kindness you brought into this world.
RIP
Marilyn and family…
Chad and I were so sorry to hear of Roger’s passing. I will always remember singing with him in the choir (and his wonderful voice) and the smile he always had. You are in our prayers – man the God of all comfort send His peace to you.
Marilyn, Derek & family. Our deepest sympathy. May God give you strength and with all your great memories carry you thru this difficult time.
I am so sorry to hear of Coach Myers’ passing. Those of us who were fortunate enough to play for him were taught not only about football, but how to become a better person. That infectious smile and laugh will be missed. My dearest sympathy. Love you Coach.
