Sandra Lee Trautman, 71, of Bridgeport, OH died Friday, February 2, 2018, at OVMC Wheeling, WV.
Sandy was born May 10, 1946, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert Dudley Trautman and Loretta Faye (Alwine) Trautman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Dudley Trautman, Jr.
She is survived by her sisters, Lynn Moscato, Brookside, Ohio; Donna (Arthur) Steadman, Jacobsburg, Ohio; Deborah (Frank) Britton, Bridgeport, Ohio; Pamela (Keith) Marody, Lansing, Ohio; Vickie Trautman, Brookside, Ohio; Becky Trautman, Bridgeport, Ohio; Bonnie Brown, Flushing, Ohio, and Jerrie (Leroy) Lewis, Bridgeport, Ohio; fourteen (14) nieces and nephews, and fourteen (14) great nieces and nephews.
Sandy was an extraordinary woman full of love, strength, intelligence, and kindness. She was most proud in her role as the families’ eldest child, sister, and aunt, and selflessly devoted her entire life to her family. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by the family she led.
She was a devoted employee as a bookkeeper for Newmeyer Inc, Wheeling, WV.
Sandy was a 50-year active member of the West Virginia Women’s Bowling Association receiving many awards through the years, most notably the Ohio Valley Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 2003, and the Hall of Fame Meritorious Service Award in 2017. Sandy enjoyed an active role in the West Virginia Women’s Bowling Association for many years serving as Treasurer and Director and was currently serving as the Association Manager for the WV State USBC Association.
A private memorial in celebration of Sandra’s life will be held at the convenience of the family.
