Sue Ann Merryman Destifanes, 80 of Shadyside, died Saturday, January 12, 2019.
She was born October 29, 1938 in Bellaire a daughter of the late Mary Alice Saunders Merryman and Joseph “Fish” Delbert Merryman.
She was a Catholic by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmy” Destifanes and one son, Andrew Joseph Destifanes.
Surviving are two daughters, Kim (Bill) Marling and Linda (Brent) Holloway both of Shadyside; three sons, Jim Destifanes, Robert (Norma) Destifanes of Rolla, MO and Stevie (Heather) Destifanes of Shadyside; ten grandchildren, Serge (Mallory) Gentile, Courtney and Tesa Destifanes, B.A., Kelsey and Zach Holloway, Danielle and Mari Destifanes, Chase (Kyla) Destifanes and Syd Destifanes and eight great grandchildren. Also sister, Betsy Merryman Roth, brother-in-law, Andrew “Dusty” Destifanes, special cousin/brother, Johnny (Gloria) Saunders and longtime care giver, Ellen Yoho and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside on Tuesday from 2 to 8 where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am with Fr. Daniel Heusel officiating.
