Terry Elson, 78 of Bellaire, Ohio passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

He was born September 1, 1942 in Bellaire, Ohio, the son of the late Willard “Shott” Elson and Helen Myers Elson.

Terry was retired from the Consol Number 4 Mine in Clarington, Ohio and then went on to receive a degree in Building Preservation and Restoration at the age of 59 and a US Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his wife Susan Snodgrass Elson in 2008 and an infant daughter.

Surviving are one son, David (Rose) Elson of Hamilton, Ohio and one daughter, Ann (Bill Bellville) of Bellaire, Ohio, one granddaughter, Tiffany (Jay Werts) Elson and great grandson, Grayson Elson. Also two sisters, Becky Ernest of Shadyside, Ohio and Barbara Kish of St. Clairsville, Ohio and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, close friends and his best buddy Harriet.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 441 37th Street Bellaire, Ohio on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm and Friday from 10 am until time of services at 11 am with Rev. David M. Demarest officiating.

Interment in the Belmont County Memorial Park Cemetery St. Clairsville, Ohio with Full Military Honors by the Belmont County Veterans Association.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Belmont County Animal Shelter or Valley Hospice, Inc.by going to TMCFunding.com.
