Thomas L. Shunk, 62, of Bellaire, Ohio died Sunday, August 21, 2022 at home.

He was born May 20, 1960 in Bellaire, Ohio a son of the late Leo and Patricia (Patch) Shunk.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Robert Michael Violet.

Surviving are his wife, Beverly Shunk, stepsons, Christopher Violet, Geoffrey Violet, step grandchildren, Chelsea Ann Violet, Devin Michael Violet, Madison Violet, Gacek Violet, step great-grandchildren, Audriana Violet, Bentley James Violet, Kynlee Lewis, and Elijah Lewis.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio 43906 on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 1-3pm. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Bellaire, Ohio 43906.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I was privileged to get to meet and work with Tom at Marshall County Coal and worked with him. When I started there he was one of the several people that told me if I needed any help or had a question he would help in anyway he could. I will be praying for you all during this terrible time. So sorry for your loss….Tom was a great guy….had a lot of laughs at work with him
