To the Pie’ Family,
I recently found out about the death of Tom. I was a friend of Tom at Wheeling University, class of 77. Tom was a great/fun person who everyone loved at Wheeling and is greatly missed by everyone who knew him! The Pie’ family is in my thoughts and prayers. I am very sorry! Mark Kenney
Dear Elena and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Condolences to the entire Pie Family and coworkers. Tom was a fantastic individual and fellow patriot. The world is a little dimmer without him.
Dear Pie’ Family, I just received the news that Tom passed away, and want to extend my deepest condolences. My dad worked with Tom and Jennie at Krogers, and they both meant the world to him. Tom was also of great help to my mom after my dad passed away several years ago. I am very sorry for your loss, and will pray that God is with and comforts you all.

To Tom’s family – I know you are heartbroken but thankful for the memories of Tom’s loving life. May God bless you & keep you all.
I worked with Tom with Kroger. He was a role model for me as fashioned my career with the company. I’m still with Kroger 38 years later, and I can honestly say, it is largely through the positive influence Tom had on me as a young co-manager. I lost touch with him when he left the company, so I was shocked when he came to my dad’s funeral (Joe Front) this past fall. He looked like he had not changed at all and I regret I was unable to convey to him how much his visit and his role in my life meant to me. I feel blessed to have had him in my life. May the peace and love of the Holy Spirit comfort your and your family in time ahead.
So sorry for your loss. Got to know him through my sister, Ruth Hall. Always a smile and kind words. Blessings to all his family and friends.
My sincere condolences to the Pie family. May God grant peace to all of you during this difficult time. I first met Tom when I began working for West Liberty University. Everyone idolized Tom for being a wonderful, knowledgeable, and compassionate individual. He truly had the respect of his colleagues. Always positive, and upbeat, his contributions to the world will always be reflected in his students and the powerful impact he created in their futures. He practiced his faith in his daily life and led by example. His generosity was legendary in helping not only his students, but those in need within our local community. I’m grateful for the years I was able to know Tom.
Sometimes you win . Sometimes you lose. We are all just killing time until the Good Lord takes us home. It always made me happy to know Tommy was out there somewhere . Missing all the gd times and memories . He was the best. May you Rest In Peace in heaven
Tom’s Family,
Through Wheeling Jesuit and many other associations I had the distinct privilege of getting to know Tom. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a lot of wisdom to share. We had many conversations across a wide range of topics and Tom always added to my knowledge. He was a major force for good any where he went and will be missed by many.
