Violet Elizabeth Gross

Violet Elizabeth Gross died July 20, 2018, at Wheeling Hospital. She was born in Bellaire, Ohio on March 31, 1923. She was a graduate of Bellaire High School, Class of 1941. She married Robert Gross in April 1943. Robert died in July 1998.
They lived in Bellaire until 1995, then moved to Shadyside. She moved in 2014 to assisted living at the Country Club Retirement Campus in Bellaire, Ohio.
She worked for Nationwide Insurance and was a volunteer at Bellaire Hospital for 30 years.
She was a member of the former First Evangelical Reformed Church in Bellaire. After moving to Shadyside, she attended the Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death was her father, Theodore Germania, Step-father, and mother, George “Jake” and Elizabeth (Bloch) Duke, an infant brother, her husband, Robert Gross and a daughter, Jennie Elizabeth Beavon.
She is survived by her grandson, Jason (Katie) Beavon and their Children, Joshua and Elizabeth, step-grandson Kevin (Tonya) Beavon and their Children, Jenna and Jacob and a step-grandson, Clark (Melanie) Beavon and their children, Emily and Connor, a sister, Helen Dye of Bellaire, OH, several nieces,nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 4-7pm Sunday at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441 37th Street, Bellaire, Ohio where services will be held at 10 am Monday with Reverend Seth Filburn officiating.
Interment will be at Belmont County Memorial Park, St Clairsville, OH
