Walter (Skip) is a native of Bellaire, Ohio, and is the son of the late Walter C. Bauknecht Jr. and Janet (Carnes) Bauknecht. Skip graduated from Bellaire High School in 1976 and continued his education at Ohio University Eastern. He has 40+ years of experience in the funeral service industry and is the third generation to carry on the family business. Skip has one daughter, Sara Bauknecht, of Pittsburgh, PA.
